About Us

The Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED) is one of the seven Schools of Kathmandu University with a mission to transform education and society through educational excellence.

KUSOED is composed of four departments and three functional centers, each dedicated to fostering academic growth and innovation. The school offers a wide range of programs, such as B Tech Ed in Information Technology, Post-Graduate Diploma, Master, MPhil, and PhD, catering to the diverse needs of its students. 

KUSOED is also at the forefront of educational and social research, contributing valuable insights and advancements in the field of education and society. The list of publications by faculty and students showcases our School’s research profile. The school employs a blended pedagogy for postgraduate programs, combining online and face-to-face learning for a comprehensive educational experience. For undergraduate students, the school uses a face-to-face and internship-based pedagogy, providing students with practical experience in their field of study.

Warm greetings from the faculty, students, and staff of the Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED). We are delighted that you have shown interest in our school and its vision.

We live in a time of rapid and complex changes that affect every aspect of our lives. Higher education is no exception. In fact, education is the key to understanding and facilitating these changes in a positive and meaningful way. Therefore, we need educational systems, processes, and outcomes that are not only effective and efficient, but also meaningful, authentic, and inclusive. These are the values that guide our work at KUSOED to accomplish the mission of transforming education and society through educational excellence. 

Despite some of these accomplishments, we remain humble at the core, because we believe that lifelong learning is the driving force behind our growth, excellence, and meaningfulness.
